Have you chosen your bridal gown yet?
Well, I definitely hope so, if you are to be married in 2023. And you must be definitely looking for one, if you are getting married in 2024 or even 2025.
Because, of course, it takes time to find it, you bridal gown for your destination wedding in Italy, must be perfect.
As a destination wedding photographer in Italy, I have definitely seen many, of various shades of white and cream, of various colours as well, of various fabrics and lengths, and trouser suits too.
And yes, I do believe there is a perfect bridal gown for every bride. It might just be the princess-style dress you have been dreaming to wear since you were a little girl, or something totally innovative, because you are, indeed, fashion conscious, But your gown is there, in a beautiful atelier, ready to be found.
My own bridal gown was a Regency style one.
Long before Bridgerton was released on Netflix, keeping me and many others glued to the screen, I already loved dresses with a high waistline.
You see, I am a Mediterranean type of girl, with curvaceous hips, which I thought I should hide at the time, and the high waistline, of course, would perfectly do the trick. Also, I was in love with the dress Gattinoni had designed for Audrey Hepburn in War and Peace and felt totally inspired by it.
So that was my choice and noone opposed to that.
Always remember that you want to have the final word on your bridal gown. You are going to wear it in one of the most important days of your life, a day when you are the actress in a leading role, therefore you want a dress which deserves an Oscar!!
Besides being a destination wedding photographer in Italy, I am also a fashion photographer, and I was lucky enough to team up with selected professionals and photograph the 2023 collection of bridal gowns by one of the leading bridalwear retail company in central Italy.
Of course, there were many different types of gowns, and this was what made the two photoshoots I did so interesting. In fact each of the gowns had different details that needed to be enhanced, so to show prospective brides the points of strength that would make the gowns perfect for them.
Well. lace and vintage styles have come back into fashion this season…do you think they would suit you?
Have a look, I have a few more photoshoots planned for the next few months and more bridal gowns to see…and show you.
By the way, we chose two fantastic locations for our photoshoots.
As a destination wedding photographer, I was enchanted by the natural light filtering through the curtains at Palazzo Piccolomini, a lovely and very elegant four star hotel in Orvieto, which has recently been renovated and is right in the city centre, close to the main wedding ceremony locations.
Also, I was truly inspired by the romantic atmosphere at Torre Collevento, a private villa for exclusive use located amidst the hills surrounding Orvieto, with a beautiful park suitable for symbolic weddings (and a bridal suite in a grotto with an en-suite SPA…).
