What had started as an interpreting service for a Kansas family’s wedding turned into an unforgettable photography experience in the heart of Italy. I had the pleasure of assisting Shayna and Travis, a lovely couple from Wichiat, during their wedding celebration, interpreting for them as they navigated the ceremony. (I am also a professional English-to-Italian translator and I do happen to serve as interpreter at weddings sometimes, instead of working as a photographer - but mind you, I NEVER do both things at the same time..).
After the big day, I suggested they visit Orvieto, my hometown, with their family and let me capture some special moments of their journey together.
They were immediately on board with the idea, so we arranged a photoshoot in the heart of Umbria. From the charming cobblestone streets to the iconic Piazza del Duomo, Orvieto was the perfect setting to create lasting memories.
While I documented their connection and love, what had started as a simple offer to help turned into a beautiful collaboration, and the photographs we captured will forever remind them of this extraordinary chapter in their life.
