ISN'T IT ROMANTIC?

Venice in November for Silvia and Marco's pre-wedding photoshoot

One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is getting to witness and document the excitement and love that couples share as they prepare to embark on the journey of marriage.

I had the privilege of photographing Silvia and Marco a beautiful couple in one of the most romantic cities in the world: Venice, Italy.

My idea was to get timeless images in a city that symbolizes romance, elegance, and charm.

With its stunning canals, narrow alleyways, and iconic landmarks, Venice was the perfect background to symbolize romance, elegance, and charm and this couple was drawn to the idea of having photos that would reflect both the serenity of their love and the dynamic energy of the city.

We arrived in Venice in early November, a time when the city is still bustling but no longer overrun by the Summer crowd. Yet, Venice was alive and kicking, with its vibrant energy that accompanied this young couple’s excitement.

As a photographer I always consider shooting in Venice a real dream,  There’s something incredibly magical about the people passing by, the gondolas gently floating through the canals, and the ancient buildings, that make for an atmosphere unlike any other.

Fortunately, we were blessed with gorgeous weather. November in Venice can be unpredictable, but this day was particularly special. The sky was clear, the sun was out, and there was a gentle breeze in the air that added to the romance of the moment. It was an ideal day for an outdoor photoshoot without the discomfort of heat or the chill of Winter.

Silvia and Marco seemed to enjoy every second of their shoot, despite the occasional crowd. In fact, even though there were people everywhere, we were able to capture moments of genuine intimacy and found some quiet corners, for more private, intimate shots.

Of course, whether they were laughing while crossing a bridge or simply holding hands while walking along the canal, it was clear that Silvia and Marco’ s shared love was the most beautiful thing in Venice that day.

The photos we captured were a perfect blend of romance, spontaneity, and the essence of Venice itself—a timeless reflection of the love they were about to pledge to one another.

As I reviewed the images later, I was reminded of why I love photographing weddings and pre-wedding shoots. It’s not just about the perfect location, the flawless weather, or the lack of crowds—it’s about capturing the emotion and connection between two people who are on the brink of a lifelong adventure.

And Venice, with all its charm and energy, is such a marvelous place to narrate that story.
