HOW DID THE 2022 SEASON END?

THREE WEEKS TO THE FIRST WEDDING OF THE 2023 SEASON AND A THROWBACK TO 2022

My 2023 wedding season is about to begin  as in fact, if things stay as they are, my first wedding is going to take place in less than three weeks' time.

I am quite looking forward to it. I love to be a destination wedding photographer in Umbria and Tuscany (and the rest of Italy as well), it is such a joy to see people who are in love and willing to make such a commitment so to create a bond that lasts forever, and I feel totally involved in the celebrations every time.

Of course, as you know, I always try to be a dicreet presence at my spouses' weddings, it is their day after all! I am a mere witness, I am there to record what happens, to capture and reveal emotions, to make sure they can have great tangible memories of such a glorious day.

But before being a destination wedding photographer in Umbria, I am, indeed, 100% Italian and, as such, I am a very emotional person, and a very emotional photographer too, so I end up having tears of joy at the weddings I take photos of.

(And no, no need to worry about your photos !!!  My cameras and lenses are tropicalized !!)

Therefore, here I am, ready for my countdown to the first wedding of the season.

In the meantime, here is a throwback to the last wedding of the 2022 season, the very emotional wedding of Chiara and Giacomo, who got married in Civitella, a lovely village in Umbria and held their reception in the little Borgo of Titignano.

Well, the day had indeed started with sunshine and my second shooter and I had been able to capture lovely images of the spouses walking around and about in Civitella after the religious ceremony held in the Duomo.

However, the weather took a bad turn just before lunchtime, so the aperitif and the reception were held inside the Castle of Titignano, in the hall on the first floor, to start with and in the cellars afterwards.

But rest assured that plan B worked perfectly as there was plenty of room both upstairs and downstairs and the cellars proved to be the perfect site for dining and dancing. The party then moved back to the upstairs hall for the wedding cake after the garter and bouquet toss.

The whole day had a theme, and the theme was ...wine!!

The bridesmaids had burgundy coloured outfits, tables were named after famous wines and the menus resembled small cork panels. Of course this is a land renown for its excellent wine and the lovely couple had that very clear in their mind!
